Long Time, No See?

I miss you guys so much. I don't even know how many of you are still active on here, but in case ANYONE sees this, please say hi!

I'm 24 now, I'm married, but not much else has changed lmao. I still have pink hair, I still love makeup, my style is the same and everything. Life has been rocky, but who's hasn't? I'd love to hear from my old friends. 

Soft warm metallics

I wish I could've been able to take my time with this a little more and pair it with some richer hues, but it didn't turn out half bad for something a little more subtle. Btw, I've had bangs for a while now, I just pull them up for pictures normally (; Jesse's girl Indian summer, meow skelecat on inner corner and woodlands on outter crease.

Bright blue and green

Was kinda winging it on the color placement of these, then decided to throw in a pop of darkness because, well, it's too tempting not to (: Evil shade's Steele green, Morgana's zombie ambrosia putter half of lid and Beowulf in the crease, Jesse's girl in secret weapon in inner corners/highlight. Wish I could've had time to photograph these better... Colors were much bolder, and you can tell this green just glows. So beautiful.

Antique Green

One of my favorite shades. Jesse's girl antique green, evil shade's twinkle twinkle and shimmery black from a wet n wild palette.

Blue&green matte

All from an old wet n wild palette... One of the six color ones. Pretty sure you can still buy these babies on eBay... I love them the most of anything wnw!

Purple/green duocrome

I love layering shadows. This is Jessie's girl kiwi rose over top of a purple NYC shadow with a wet n wild matte black for the crease.

Beanie/red bronze/red bean

So, a few things about this look. I was reminded how much I don't like nyx eye shadows, and I was also reminded how much I don't like smudged liner. You can't even tell by the pictures, but I used the lightest color and the darkest color in the pallette, and, well, red bean has squat for pigmentation. My liner did manage to last all day, but I just don't like the look on me. Please excuse the terribly dry skin. Did too much acne product this morning.

Soft pink and black

These colors turned out a little more sheer than I was hoping for, but they were just out of a cheap set from Sally's beauty supply. I used the pink and black with a simple tan shimmer for inner highlight.

Green and brown with purple liner

Green shadow from hot topic, dark brown glitter and cream highlight from right side of the wet n wild pallette, purple prestige total intensity liner. Excuse the sloppy application, I was in a rush. (:

Prancer

One of the coolest eye shadows ever, Prancer by Meow Cosmetics. Part of one of their annual holiday collections. I paired it with a plain black for the crease and white for inner highlight, both from a wet n wild coloricon eye shadow pallette.

All I used was the Wet N Wild Shimmer the Night Away palette. Honestly my life is so crazy right now (hence why I look like a mess) but I just got my first smart phone and now I can take pictures, crop and upload posts all from my phone... like I'm doing right now! I can totally get used to this. I may be regularly posting again, but who knows, I could get bored within a day again lol. Hope you're all doing well (:

Rant time!:

I'm still alive! I know my absence is unexcused, and I really have nothing to show for it. I just really lost interest in blogging. :/ Does that mean I'll be gone for good? Probably not. :) There's just *too* much drama and bullshit going around the internet... with blogging, facebook groups and companies that I really feel awkward here anymore... this used to be something I loved, now I dread reading posts because it's saying "so and so did this" or "this person's a bitch, send the troops to go flame them!" blah blah blah. I really hate backstabbing and immature bullshit. I'm probably one of the youngest bloggers in the circle right now, and I'm kinda ashamed to say I'm one of the only people that's stayed away from the crap that circulated around. There are some people I still really care about on here though, and mainly the one who has kept me sane and gave me a glimmer of hope through all of this... Diana <3

I have no idea when/if things cool down I'd make some sort of fizzled out return... but until then just know this: I've improved, a lot! I have a shit ton more confidence now, better skills with my camera/lighting, WAY improved on my makeup techniques and have just generally grown and changed (as all teenagers do, right?).

I still really care about this. Blogging. Friends I've made (and probably lost through this long non-posting). Knowlege I've gained. Confidence I never knew I had. To be honest... I've been a huge creep these past couple months. I've been lurking around all your blogs, and I honest have read every single post that's popped up in my blogroll. I check it everyday, sometimes a few times daily... just didn't want to comment to avoid any awkwardness. Hope some of you still remember who I am.

I Need A New Eyeshadow Base!

I'm soooo upset right now. :( The Maybelline Cooling Effects Shadow/Liner pencils I've been using for YEARS are now discontinued and no longer carried at any store around me. :(((((

I have no idea what the hell to use now, so I need suggestions please! I can't use the NYX jumbo pencils because they crease on me. I always use UDPP first then my base, then shadow on top, so I need a base that will be a sticky base for the shadow to cling to, and something that will be creaseless because UDPP creases on me. :/ Basically, I have insanely oily lids, and that was the only product I've ever had that worked for me. Ugh!

Any help would be greatly appriciated, I don't care how much it costs, as long as it is 100% crease proof!

Not Related To Makeup Whatsoever

Buuuuut you should totally read this post anyways. :)

So, as I'm sure you can already guess from the picture above... mom and I adopted a new doggy. We just picked her up from the humane society this morning and she was in dire need of medical attention, which was pretty much why we wanted to adopt her in the first place. She was part of this story in my area:

"CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. -- The first pack of 32 dogs was found Tuesday by two women walking in a rural area of Cambria County. The pack of 32 dogs was taken to the Humane Society in Richland. Animal enforcement officials dropped off four more on Wednesday, two adults and two puppies were found on Vetera Road in rural Ebensburg.


The manager at the Humane Society said she was told to expect up to 80 dogs as the investigation continues.


She said the dogs range in age from 6-months to 5-years. They are all a mixed terrier breed, most infested with fleas, some malnourished. Volunteers at the shelter are doing what they can to get the dogs healthy and ready for adoption.


"We have them entered as strays,” said shelter manager Karin Newbaker. “As per any other stray we would enter into our facility, they're available for adoption within 48 hours. So most of them, most of the 32 that are here now, should be available for adoption (Thursday)."


Authorities said they are trying to piece together how the dogs found Wednesday are connected to the original pack.


Officers asked WJAC-TV not to reveal the original location while the investigation continues."

We came up right after they put the dogs out on Thursday, and our little "Bambi", as we named her, was not able to go home that day because her skin/eyes/gums were all yellow... her skin was terribly dry, she could not really eat on her own and had to be fed and given water through an eye dropper... pretty much she wasn't given a good diagnosis, but all of the shelter workers were keeping up hope for her and doing everything they could to keep her healty and comfortable.

She broke us both to pieces when we saw her Thursday (7/28/11) and when we went home that night she was ALL mom could talk about. So, we decided to go back up Friday and take her out the the vet office right away and treat her and give her the same second chance at life we have both been given.

She is currently out at the vet's office and will remain there until about Sunday or maybe monday. They are giving her IV fluids and are trying to treat her kidney and liver functions, which are what's really the only thing hindering her recovery right now, because she is able to eat and drink on her own, and she is up and walking fine now, so we're really hoping she pulls through.

This is just a message that I live by on a daily basis, and I want to remind the rest of the world of as well. Please... treat animals with kindness and compassion, don't abuse and neglect them.

WARNING: LONG ASS POST!

This is basically stuff I've collected the past several months, and I've tried to include swatches. :)

First up is this really badass brand new Jesse's Girl baked mineralized shadow palette. I LOVE this thing! You get nine colors, I think it was $6.99, but it was cheaper with my Wellness plus savings at Rite Aid so I only paid a little over five bucks or so for it... which is a steal!

Just LOOK at those beautiful shades!

NYC limited edition blushable creme stick in Gold Radiance, and Revlon scented flavor gloss in Grape Fizz.

The creme stick applied heavily then blended out, and the gloss swatched.

Hard Candy visibly wet lip pencil in Jezebel... such a nice color, but these burn like a bitch! I wish they didn't hurt so bad because I'd like to get more of them. :( The burning takes like twenty minutes to go away, too. :/ I love how NONE of the "sponsored" reviews said a damn thing about these burning, or evening tingling in their reviews... what's with that?

The above labels are pretty self explanitory. :) These are really great palettes, I was quite surprised by them to be honest. They have the same great texture and color payoff as the five pan LA Colors shadows, which made me happy.

LA five color palette in "Tease" on the top, along with a row from the one palette that has identical shades below it, to show the colors have the same great pigmentation. The rest are assorted swatches from both palettes... LOOK at those reds! These babies were only about four bucks each with my wellness discount at Rite Aid, but since they're pretty much gone from the shelves by now you can still get the from Cherryculture.com :D
