Solstice Scents Perfume Review

I'm still a little sick, but I can at least smell again and I've been wearing my recent smelly goods non stop. First up to review, now that I've worn all 4 perfumes I bought, is Solstice Scents!

I placed my order on November 2nd via their shop on Etsy, and recieved my package on the 5th. Uhm... whoa.

Everything came very well packed in a small box with loads of cute orange and black shredded paper inside as packing, and the bottles were shrink wrapped. The four full sized bottles I bought were in a black organza bag, and in a smaller clear ziplock baggie were two free samples, which were very generous. Also in the box was several different business cards as well as a hand-written note. Shipping for my entire order was only $3.

The scent descriptions, with my thoughts under them:

Pumpkin Spice Latte

"The perfume is a blend of coffee essential and fragrance oils, sweet pumpkin, gingerbread whipped cream, cinnamon and a drop of nutmeg essential oil. Upon application, coffee is the first note to emerge, immediately followed by a spicy cinnamon. After just a few minutes a sweet syrupy scent emerges. The true dry down scent rises after about 15 - 20 minutes on the skin at which point the spice mellows and the coffee, pumpkin and cream all perfectly swim together in a pleasingly balanced brew. This is a very warm scent that is going to be awesome to have on hand first cool day of fall!"

Mmm, this is one of the dead on descriptions! Just like walking into the corner coffee shop during fall. I want to eat it! :p

Harvest Moon

"This is my own special, unique, handcrafted blend straight from the heart of one that yearns all year for the magical feeling that the fall-time brings. Apple, spices, pumpkin, squash and buttery roasted chestnuts."

This one wound up being my favorite. It's literally my Gram's house during the holidays. I love this so much, and I know this is probably going to be my most worn one of the bunch. This scent has officially made it into my top 10 favorite perfumes of all time.

Fright Night

"FRIGHT NIGHT is a cavity inducing blend of sugared Halloween sweets, smelling similar to a Halloween candy pail. Sweet candy corn, chocolate candy wrappers, melty gooey marshmallows, sticky caramels, black jelly beans and more. This scent starts off with a little burst of black licorice that mellows quickly. Dry down is a soft blend of various candies, worn close to the skin but long lasting."

Again... I want to eat it! Smells just like Tootsie Rolls, taffy and caramel in a giant pot.

Monster Mash

"Monster Mash is a soap I carried last Halloween. This same great fragrance is now available in a perfume. I tried to capture what I think a bunch of Monsters hanging out together would smell like. It is a blend of the Mahogany paneled walls in Dracula's castle mixed with a background note of musk and some other dark and mysterious incense smoke and spice. Notes are Mahogany Wood, Amber, Vanilla Bourbon, Tonka Bean, Cedarwood and Apple Wood combine with Essential Oils of: All Spice, Black Pepper, Sandalwood and Cardamom. All these scents meld together to create a dark, rich wood with a hint of sweetness and a pleasing spice note."

I really wasn't sure if I'd like this or not... but it's really quite nice. A little strong and heady at first, but it mellows out to a very dark romantic kind of fragrance.

I then recieved two free samples, which I'll go ahead and review now:

Conjure

"Conjure is part of The Ancients Collection. It is a very soft and magical blend consisting of mild non-foody slightly incensey vanilla, golden amber and fresh cut cedar with a faint wisp of cauldron smoke, allspice EO, Sandalwood EO, Rose EO, Rosewood EO and clove EO and a pinch of champa flowers. The main notes are the amber, vanilla, woods and faint all spice. If you're a fan of Spellbound Woods, you will probably enjoy this one as well. It is a different, fuller and richer fragrance, however, but it's not a "loud" type of scent, but rather a smooth and mild one. It is very sexy, mysterious and intriguing. I love this one."

I love it too. It's what I'd imagine a witch's home to smell like... lots of smoke, incense, spice and everything nice. Need I say more?!

Spellbound Woods

"Spellbound Woods is magical blend of alluring vanilla, sandalwood, amber and cedarwood. It is amazingly soft, light and sensual...not overpowering at all. It is softly sweet from the vanilla, but not in a buttercream foody kind of way. It is a nice unisex scent and smells like a light, very mild incense. It is also one of my "crowd favorites" and a top seller. A soft vanilla is the strongest note to me, laying on a bed of very mild and delicious woods. This scent is pure magic."

Magical indeed! I wore this while walking my dogs around the street with the leaves and freshly layed rain and damn... I felt like I was in dreamland.

I find it rather funny that she sent me samples of perfumes I was going to try anyways! I now know I do NEED them in full size, hehe.

Each full sized perfume is either $9 or $12, and her samples are $2.50 or $3. She also sells a slew of other products including soaps for under $5, body sprays for around $11, body butters for about $9 and so much more. I can't really try some of these because of my burn scars, but they all sound lovely! :D

Customer service is great and Angela is very nice to talk to. She responded quickly and was great to help.

Would I order again?
